The Dark Side of The Moon Planetarium Experience
On February 27, 1973, EMI Records held a press conference at the London Planetarium to launch Pink Floyd's new album The Dark Side Of The Moon.
Fifty years later, there is no more fitting place than a planetarium to celebrate Pink Floyd's iconic album and to recreate the music with scientific and artistic visualizations. The show is based on the 10 tracks from the album and in chronological order: some futuristic looking forward and others a retro affirmation of Pink Floyd's visual history.
All refer to an experience of time and space that embraces the cutting-edge technology that only a planetarium can provide. In modern parlance, it is a truly immersive experience; an all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat that transcends reality and takes you far beyond the boundaries of the 2D experience.
