The DELF Certificate is an official, internationally recognised language diploma, awarded by the French Ministry of Education. Many employers place great store by this standardised and thus comparable certificate, as it enjoys a good reputation worldwide.
Target group: Participants from the French III module or students with an appropriate knowledge of French. The DELF Certificate is meant especially for those students who wish to prove their special knowledge of French (e.g. for a job application) or those who are planning to do a semester, a double bachelor’s or master’s degree during their studies at one of our partner universities in France.
Content and objectives of the course: Upon achieving the DELF B1 Certificate, candidates have acquired the so-called Independent Level: they can understand and maintain a discussion. They can express their own opinion and deal with situations likely to arise in daily life. Vocabulary includes flexible and informed statements.
This module prepares candidates for the DELF examination, which consists of 4 parts: oral and writing skills, listening and text comprehension.
At the end of this module, participants will have achieved the B1 language level and can complete the examination to acquire the certificate at the Institut Français in Kiel (fee: €55). It is not compulsory to take the examination at the Institut Français. Participants may register for this module if they wish to refresh their knowledge of French at a high level.
