General information
General information about the state recognition
With the awarding of the bachelor degree the studies are terminated and graduates gain their first professional qualification for social work or early childhood education.
To receive occupational protection and the related special positions, rights, and upper tariff remuneration claims, you often need the state recognition.
You can acquire it after completing your bachelor degree within a voluntary training programme of the UAS Kiel and (usually) a first job year in a recognised training institution.
The goal of the training offer is to apply the knowledge from the studies in a working field of social work or early childhood education and to deepen the own expertise.
With its deepened theory-practice relation and the goal to develop a professional identity, the further education offer has a central function.
Admission requirements, modalities and information about the theory-based parts of the training offer are available in the decree on state recognition, the implementation rules and the current course catalogue.
For the job-accompanying and online-based bachelor degree social work (BASA online), it is possible to acquire the state recognition by taking part in an integrated study module. More information is available in the decree on state recognition and the module manual.
