The bachelor's degree in nursing is a practice-oriented degree with a generalist character, whereby individual thematic priorities can be set in the course by choosing different specialisations. It combines the acquisition of the initial professional qualification with the acquisition of the first academic degree by crediting achievements from the generalist nursing school training and enables professional work in all fields of nursing.

What makes this course special?
- Accompanied training (dual): this degree can be studied alongside training to become a qualified nursing professional and subsequent practical activities at a care provider
- Specialisation: by choosing a specialisation, ususally in the 4th semester, it is possible to set individual focus priorities within your studies. Currently, there are three such specilisations on offer
- Practical relevance: in addition to the theoretical foundations, students acquire practical skills that can be applied directly within the professional field. To this end, Kiel UAS oworks closely with various hospitals in the region
- Diverse learning locations: the study course takes place at different locations in Schlwewig-Holstein. This enalbes students to develop professional skills in a number of professional contexts
- Modules: up to the 4th semester, modules usually take place on eight weekends per semester (Friday afternoons and Saturdays) at the FEK Training Centre in Neumünster.
- Interdisciplinary elective modules: usually take place at different times at all locations of the Kiel UAS
What are the requirements of enrolment?
- general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-related higher education entrance qualification or
- general or subject-specific technical college entrance qualification (consisting of a school- and a practical-based part) or
- successfully passed master's (practical) examination or equivalent previous education
- valid training contract to become a nurising prfessional in accordance with the provisions of "Pflegeberufegesetz" (Federal Nursing Professions Act)
