Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bohlmann is counselor for the degree program in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering (Master).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bohlmann is Professor of Construction and Strenght of Ships/Ship Elements. He teaches on the topics ship strength, operational stability, ship vibrations and ship design. He is head of Ship Strength Laboratory.

    • Since 10/2021 Adjunct Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering – Maritime Technology at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense
    • 2007 to 2021 Associate professor for steel structural engineering at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense
    • Since 9/2008 Professor for ship structural design and engineering at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, Kiel
    • 1995 to 2007 at Flensburg Shipyard. Basic Design
      • responsible for structural analysis in ship design and related research and development
      • from 2001 manager of the dept., responsible for advanced engineering in ship design and related research and development in structural analysis, hydrodynamics, mechanical engineering, software development
    • 1995 PhD at the University of Hamburg, thesis: vibration resistance of welded pipeline branches
    • 1990 to 1994 Scientist at the University of Hamburg. Focus on structural design and analysis of ships.
    • 1984 to 1990 shipbuilding studies at the University of Hamburg, Institute for Shipbuilding
