Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bohlmann is counselor for the degree program in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering (Master).
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bohlmann is Professor of Construction and Strenght of Ships/Ship Elements. He teaches on the topics ship strength, operational stability, ship vibrations and ship design. He is head of Ship Strength Laboratory.

- 2007 to 2021 Associate professor for steel structural engineering at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense
