Transfer

I feel strong about spreading XR technologies in our society. Hence I am actively engaged in the following organisations and projects:

  • The Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Immersion Research (LINK) is a research, reception and development laboratory in which students of media and computer science and electrical engineering can deal with the analysis, applicability and development of new media technologies and their content.
  • The society for immersive media in Schleswig-Holstein (Gesellschaft für Immersive Medien Schleswig-Holstein e.V. - GIM.sh) has set itself the goal of creating a platform that not only promotes the exchange between the various players in the field of immersive media, but also aims to promote the development and application of these new technologies.
  • The SEE-digital project, initiated by Kiel University of Applied Sciences together with various educational partners in Schleswig-Holstein, aims to develop a comprehensive, regional training network. The “Industrial Metaverse” sub-project aims to provide different user groups with access to future technologies such as AI, VR, AR, robotics, sensor technology, gamification and avatar development in order to impart the necessary skills for the metaverse and thus a digital society in an experiential way.
