Apprenticeship as iIndustrial clerk (IHK), sStudy of economic sciences at the University of Witten/Herdecke and study-accompanying work as scientific employee at the Wittener Institut für Familienunternehmen (WIFU). Part-time PhD to become Dr. rer. pol. at the University of Witten/Herdecke, Chair of Management and Organisation, Prof. Dr. Rudolf Wimmer and Prof. Dr. Fritz B. Simon.
Lectureships in the areas of Corporate Governance, Organisation, Entrepreneurship and medium-sized family companies e.g. at the HTW Berlin, the University of Hildesheim and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim.
Since 09/2018 Professor for Corporate Governance at the Faculty of Business Management of the UAS Kiel.
