Mandatory module in Supply Chain and Operations Management - Part: Procurement (Bachelor’s)
The procurement is a binding function between external suppliers and internal consumers. It includes purchase and the procurement logistics. Modern procurement management is shaped by the aspiration to understand the procurement market in all its complexity and to design the offer, demand, processes and structures in a target-oriented way. The mediation of the necessary, basic competencies is the central goal of this module part.

Elective module "SCOM – Purchasing and Procurement Logistics"
This module is for Bachelor’s students (Business Management and Business Information Systems) who want to obtain more detailed knowledge about the topics of purchasing, procurement, logistics and supply chain management. The focus areas change from semester to semester and will be worked out by the students in projects. At the end of the winter semester, the work results are publicly presented in front of the student symposium.
Detailed information about this lecture is available here.
Integration module "Capstone 2"
Bulimia-Learning? Press the reset button after the exam and forget everything? This can happen when modules are regarded as isolated islands. With the help of "Capstone 2", the contents of different modules such as e.g. accounting, marketing, supply chain and operations management and business law are associated. For a case study, student groups develop strategies and measures for various business sectors. At the end of the semester, the management must be convinced with concrete arguments that the project idea is economically beneficial and therefore feasible.

Mandatory modules in Supply Chain and Operations Management – Part Procurement (Master’s)
This lecture is addressed to students of the non-consecutive master’s study degree ‘Business Management’. There are indeed some similarities to the bachelor’s seminar (see above), but we set different content and methodical-didactical accents.
Detailed information about this lecture is available here.
Technically oriented Management Project (Master’s in Industrial Engineering)
Management Projects are an essential element of the master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, because they give students the possibility to work on real, company problems (e.g. value analysis, process optimisation, …) at the interface of technology and business management.
Detailed information about this lecture (and earlier management projects) is available here.
Customer and Supplier Relationship Management
How does purchasing work? How does sales work? On basis of a case study, students get to know the different phases of a business relationship. From the perspectives of purchasing (supply chain management), sales (marketing) and business law we see which strategic concepts influence the business relationship how and how you can derive negotiation strategies and preferential contract design. Student sales teams need to persuade student purchase teams to get an order. Together, they think about how to avoid differences and how a lasting business relationship can be developed.
Elective modules (Master’s)
In the subject area of procurement, there are additional elective courses (not every semester) on, for example, modern purchasing management, strategic procurement management etc., also by assistant lecturers.
