Prof. Dr. Kühn - Internships and Theses
Theses and internships
I am currently primarily supervising theses that are related to our transfer projects. Topic may include digital and data strategy, enterprise architecture, AI applications (e.g. deployment of YOLO models, local large-scale models) or intelligent process automation (IPA/RPA). The ongoing dialogue with partner companies may also produce further exciting topics in the short term.
Occasionally, I also supervise empirical theses (qualitative, quantitative) in cooperation with companies that you know from a previous job or internship. The content of the thesis can be a current, largely unsolved challenge from practice (e.g. in the context of the latest technological developments), which ideally is also considered to be of particular interest in academic research. Current scientifically relevant topics can be found as orientation e.g. at the major conferences related to digitisation, such as ICIS or ECIS (see e.g. www.google.com/search, www.google.com/search.
If you are interested, please send me your current transcript of records and a short synopsis with the following information:
- First and last name
- matriculation number
- e-mail address
- Topic or subject area (working title is sufficient)
- Explanation of the objective and motivation of the task
- 1-2 precisely formulated research questions
A basic understanding of scientific work, as defined by Kiel UAS FBW guidelines, is a prerequisite: (https://www.fh-kiel.de/fileadmin/data/wirtschaft/pruefungsamt/richtlinien_fuer_die_anfertigung_thesis-diplomarbeit_02.pdf).
Internships in medium-sized and large companies (>50 or >250 employees) are also generally supervised if there are content overlaps with my areas of expertise.
