  • 1982 – 1986: Scientific employee at the Institute for Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Münster
  • 1987: PhD to become Dr. rer. pol., University of Münster
  • 1987 - 1989: Scientific speaker for money and currency in the economy research group economy at the Rheinisch-Westfälisch Institute for Economic Rresearch (RWI), Essen
  • 1990 -1992: Manager of the economy research group economy in the RWI. Member of the lead of the community report of the five institutes for economic research (DIW, HWWA, Ifo, IfW, RWI) about on the economic situation
  • since 1993 Professor for Qquantitative Eeconomics at the UAS Kiel
