Teaching
The bachelor's degree in Agriculture is divided into seven semesters. In the first four semesters, the fundamentals of natural, economic and social sciences are taught in 22 compulsory modules. In addition, subject-related topics are dealt with and presented independently in two seminars.
The practical work semester is in the fifth semester. It is to be completed in the areas upstream and downstream of agriculture, in agriculturally oriented companies abroad or, in the case of special requirements, in agricultural businesses in Germany.
After return to the UAS Kiel, the practical seminar and another seminar must be completed in the next two semesters. An individual specialisation is made possible in the freely selectable elective modules and courses. At the end, a bachelor's thesis is written, which is to be presented in a colloquium including a presentation.
After passing the examinations, the UAS awards graduates with the Bachelor of Science degree.
