Overview of Internship at the Faculty of Business Management
A practical period of study is included in the bachelor’s degree and the non-consecutive master’s degree according to the valid examination regulations. A division is only allowed in a justified, exceptional case. The length of the internship is as follows:
- Bachelor’s in Business Management, physical attendance (6 semesters regular study period) - 20 Weeks (full-time)
- Bachelor’s in Business Management, physical attendance(7 Semesters regular study period) - 6 Months (full-time)
- Bachelor’s in Business Information Systems, physical attendance- 20 Weeks (full-time)
- Bachelor’s in Business Management Online, full-time - 12 Weeks (full-time)
- Bachelor’s in Business Management Online, part-time - 16 Weeks (part-time)
- Bachelor’s in Business Information Systems Online - 10 Weeks (full-time)
- Non-consecutive Master’s in Business Management - 12 Weeks (full-time)

Internship Procedure
The application and implementation of the internship are carried out in several steps:
Step 1:
Before starting the internship, you need to participate in the lecture ‘Information on the Internship’.
Step 2:
Before starting the internship, participation in the seminar ‘Seminar on the Internship’ as a listener.
Step 3:
Before starting the internship, choice of a registered lecturer of the Faculty of Business Management of the UAS Kiel as a university supervisor of the internship.
Step 4:
Before starting the internship and signing the internship contract with your company, submission of the application for approval of a period of practical study to the Internship Office at the Faculty of Business Management.
Step 5:
After awarding of the internship by the Internship Office of the Faculty of Business Management, you must sign the internship contract with your company and hand in a copy to the Internship Office.
Step 6:
During the last third of your internship or after completing it, participation in the lecture ‘Seminar on the Internship’ as a speaker.
Step 7:
After completing your internship, submission of the certificate from your employer and the internship report to the Examinations Office of the faculty.
