Alexa Magsaam is the diversity commissioner of the UAS Kiel and helps to break down barriers and discriminating structures. During her studies in political science and history at Kiel University, she worked voluntarily for borderline-europe, Menschenrechte ohne Grenzen e.V. and lived for several months in Palermo and Lampedusa in Italy. Besides working at the UAS Kiel, she stands up for the feminist community in Kiel and is the co-founder of the “LaDIYfest Kiel” – a queer and feminist festival that has taken place once a year in Kiel for 7 years now.
