Pre-Study Internship
The pre-study internship helps students to acquire fundamental and specialist skills and to become familiar with operating procedures in agricultural businesses. It has to be carried out in organisations which hold an unlimited qualification for the training of agriculturalists. This does not apply to internships abroad. An internship in the parents’ business is not permitted.
It is obligatory to conclude an internship contract between the training company and the intern. A model contract is available.
The pre-study internship becomes valid through a certificate that contains information about the duration and tasks of the internship. Additionally, the intern has to submit an internship report. Further information is available in the report leaflet.
Completed training or agricultural internships with a completed examination can be recognised as a substitute for the pre-study internship. For more information, see the internship guidelines.
