Practical Study Term

The practical study term is planned for the 5^th semester. The intention is to introduce the students to typical tasks and working activities in their future professional field and to mediate the transformation of theoretical skills into practical action.

A huge majority of the students does the practical study term abroad. They can choose from locations worldwide. In the winter semester, the southern hemisphere is usually preferred whereas in the summer semester many students are drawn to the North American continent. Students may apply for financial aid during the practical study term abroad (in Europe: Erasmus, Overseas: PROMOS). Please contact the International Office. 

Students who choose to stay in Germany attend their practical study term in pre- and post-agriculture organisations, (e.g. in agricultural trade operations, breeding operations, associations or consulting companies).

Model contracts for the practical study term are available in German and English.
