Central Studies Committee
Legal bases and duties
According to § 21 (2) of the Higher Education Act, the senate is allowed to establish committees in order to prepare its resolutions.
The Central Studies Committee must be one of these. The central studies committee (ZSA) is responsible matters of common interest regarding teaching and studying.
In particular, the central studies committee works on the following issues:
- suggestions and opinions on establishing, modifying and cancelling of study courses
- suggestions on establishing joint committees for interdisciplinary study courses
- suggestions on establishing interdisciplinary study courses
- advisory opinion on the establishment of teaching capacity at the university and its faculties as well as measures for participation and admission restrictions
- supervision of the study courses efficiency and examination successes, especially evaluation of study and examination statistics
